CCLefty, Myself and another buddy drove an hour and a half to our first spot, only to find we couldn't get in. So after another hour on the road, we hunted a backup we'd never hunted before. After walking some dead territory, we started getting into an occasional bird.
Sunny, CCLefty's Springer Spaniel, earned himself a ton of respect today. The cover was rediculously thick, seemed like everything had some kind of thorn, but Sunny never slowed down. He located and flushed 6 nice roosters that we never would have seen otherwise. He didn't flush a single bird out of range. Everyone had a good shoot, but it was Sunny's day. All birds served up and retrieved by Sunny boy.
