Seems everyone has their own pet load that they like. ###What do you use in your .223 loads??

40gr VMAX and 25grs of IMR-3031. ###Don't use it for anything you intend to eat though...

Comes out of my Howa Varmint @3400fps. ###Fast enough for my type of shooting...

For our 223 we use 21 grains of IMR-4198 with Nosler BT 55 grainers. We have ours set at almost max lenght because we shoot a Savage model 12 single shot and can get away with it. They are superb for accuracy 300 yards we have a 1/2 inch group. I tell you how the are on P-Dogs we are going next week to Montana to shoot them. They are extremly quick once we touch of a shot it is at 300 yard just like when you snap your fingers.

Hope this helped,

Got to go make some 223's up for Montana now

I like a Speer 50gr. TNT ahead of 27 gr. of WW 748 sparked by a Rem. 7 1/2 primer.
748 is a ball powder and it goes thru the measure real well.

Hey I said I would let you know about my load on P-dogs.

Well they did just what the were meant to do. They kinda turned the dog inside out. Even at 500 yards
