Does anybody have a Ruger single-six, and if you do, what do you think of it?

I have never shot one but have handled a few and they feel good , I have heard the accuracy is decent. The catch to is I wanted to go stainless and at that point i found I could get a .45 colt stainless ruger revolver for another $50 as a matter of fact I just got home from paying for it

I have a super single six with a 9.5" barrel and love it. ###My friends use them as well for coon, and bobcat. ###Mine is a tack driver. ###Not really much to say but that its a simple, durable, good shooting pistol. No complaints here. ###If you like super blackhawks you like the single six.

m57jager,

how is the conversion cylinder for 22 mag? is it as accurate as the 22lr?

In my case, it definately has been. ###I also on occasion shoot sub-sonic LR and that is also as accurate. ###The 22mag cylinder is a sharp looking unfluted cylinder that is extremely easy to change out. ###When I carry mine, I usually carry both cylinders with me in a fitted pouch. ###The leather western belt holster are a nice touch, because you can carry all the ammo(22LR/22mag) with you instead of in your pockets. ###If you have any more questions, feel free.

I have a 6 1/2 inch blue one, and I really like it. ###When I squirrel hunt with my 22 lr rifles, I carry the S6 with the 22 lr cylinder in it. ###When I predator hunt with my 223, I carry the 22 mag cylinder in it. ###I wanted a revolver that I could shoot the 22 mags in, and have really liked this one.

I can't reveiw it, but i just bought one 2 days ago, but have to wait 10 days to pick it up per cal. law. (god i hate that !!)
Got the 6-1/2" stainless. I took one look at it and said "i'll take it". And actually, from my experience with ruger, if it feels right in the store and you like the way it looks, thats all you need to know. Rugers ###never seem to fail to be accurate, quality guns.

Just bought a Verona over/under the week before too......going gun crazy !!

8 DAYS TO GO....i can't wait !!

Dazco, welcome to the board. ###You won't find as many Calif. hunters anywhere else on the web. ###Great guys too. ###

Well, i picked up the single six today. All i can say is, if there's a better made gun out there, i sure haven't seen it ! Damn this thing is fine ! The grips are the only thing that isn't perfection, but they have a certain charm in the way they seem hand carved.
Just had to tell someone. *S*

ps-god i love stainless !!!
