Hey I thought I'd just mention this for guys who have a .45ACP and .40S&W. I've seen two guns suffer a bulged barrel, and one suffer a frame failure due to shooting a .40 thru a .45. What I think happened was these guys accidently loaded a .40 into a .45 and had the round get pushed into the barrel as the gun went into battery. Then they pulled the trigger and click nothing happened. So they slapped the mag, rack the slide and bang! "Ouch, what happened?" Just thought I'd let you know.
PS: These guys weren't novice shooters but seasoned instructors/ competitors. If it can happen them it could hapen to anyone.

9mm will also feed through and fire in a 40.Seen it happen.

Yes your absolutly right. Strange though I guess the dimensions on the 9mm are close enough to the .40 so the extractor is able to catch the round. .40's in a .45ACP seemed to get pushed into the barrel.

I accidentally loaded a 9mm round into my .40 Glock magazine while shooting on the range here at work. ###The round loaded and fired, but the shell expanded and would not eject. ###The paper target clearly showed the round entered it sideways, as if it was tumbling. ###

Scary. ###Be careful.:surprised-purple:

not good, not good at all. ###I'm very careful with my rounds but like always accident can and do happen... I also carry a Glock 22 as a duty weapon.
