Anybody have any experiences or opinion of the Charles Daly DDA? They are made in Israel and come in .40 or .45 I saw one at Turners today and am thinking about going back and buying it. Decisions decisions, I like the feel and the price isn't bad, so I might do it. I just whish they had some of the new colors out. It is supposed to be made in yellow, green, fuschia, blue, and regular chrome/black 2-tone, but only the plain black is out now. Im not sure I would want one of them newfangled colors anyway, but it'd be cool to see em, .... A fuschia .45 DA, why would they make that??? Maybe something to get some of your wives into handgun shooting I guess?

Well, I did it, I went to Turners and bought the DDA. I checked with my local small gun shop first (I like supporting the little guy). But he wasn't very helpful. He said that since it isn't in his catalog, he can't get it. I'm sure a phone call or 2 would have helped, but he didn't seem to interested, so I went to Turners, and all they had left was the display. None in the wharehouse, so I had no choice. When I found out earlier today that Daly has stopped importing them and sold the rest of their inventory to SOG, so available stock is all thats left, and Turners is down to one, I had to buy it. I found out why the price was so attractive too. Somebody at Turners mis-tagged it well bellow the actual price, so they had to honor that price, but refused to give me the additional 10% off that they usually give for the minor shelf wear. I still got a nice deal.

Now I just have to wait my 10 days and then enjoy.

Just an update on my CD experience.

Their service department is awesome!!!

I was having problems with the magazines not loading properly and the slide not locking back (because of the magazines), so I e-mailed them with the problem.

I recieved an e-mail response within a couple of hours.

They Fed-Exed me a prepaid overnight express shipping tag. I dropped the gun off at Fed-Ex on Monday at 5pm. Got the gun back today, not even 4 days later.

They replaced both magazines, and my slide lock was scratched, so they threw in one of those too.

I am impressed with the speed and ease of my repair. And best of all, I have it back to take to the range when my dad picks up his Super Blackhawk from the dealer on Saturday.
