Well I finally bought the Sony P32 on ebay for 100 bucks with a bunch of other goodies. Now I guess I need the Pixcontroller board. Which one the universal or the LE? Which is better? And will everything fit into the Pelican 1040 box or should I get the 1060? I'd really like to know how to install the stereo jack in the camera, like which wires go where. Ya know,,,,,,,,,you guys on this site have been very helpful getting me and others through putting one of these together. Thanks. Hey if anyone has pics of a cam built with a Sony P32, I'd like to see them. Even the pics of how the pic quality is. Thanks again. Can't wait to get all my goodies.

BC, I've had four P32's with Universal Bd's for a couple of years now and they work well for me. I don't know anything about the LE bd, sorry I can't help you there. Here's one of my trailcam setups with a Seahorse case. I think I have a design flaw, the bottom of the door warped a bit. I'll have to modify it. The pictures I post here and most on my webshots are from the P32.

You can use the 1040 horizontally with the p32, but you'll need to grind the edges if you want it vertical. The 1060 will fit the p32 vertical without grinding, but it a bit bigger of a case.
Both the LE and universal boards are great. The Universal has a few more ports built into the board that the LE doesn't have.
I like the LE's a bit better for simplicity, but now that the new trail mode came out for the Universals, it's tought to beat.

I personally like the seahorse cases (120) since they are lockable and very tough (more so than pelican). They seem to seal better also. They are ot much bigger, but the real disadvantage is they do not come in camo. You have to make your own camo.

I also have used pixcontroller, fieldpix, and snapshot boards. They are all great boards. I like the simplicity, funcationality, display, and reliability of the snapshot best though.
