Do any of you guys have anything on your trigger to help you pull it? I have a trigger shoe now, but was wondering if there is anything better? http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-gunfighter-yellow.gif

Hey, Hunting Dog...

I don't use any trigger mechanisms, but i do know of a few guys that do. I'll see if I can get them to come to this forum, and post up.

Right now is use a trigger shoe that most people use on a rifle. It just goes over the trigger, and sets with allan head screws, it's about 1/2 inch wide. I need something a little wider to make it easyer to pull triger, because ican't bend my fingers all the way, another word i can't make a fist. Or is there a way to make the triger easyer to pull by lighter spring in the triger mec? it is a rem 1100

Huntin dog,
Would a wider shoe help you? A welding shop could add to your shoe but I am not sure this would be safe?

I might could rig up a car door lock solenoid that would mount on your belt and have external cable in tube to trigger acuate trigger. This would keep weight of solenoid / battery off of shotgun.
Then have a 3 open switchs in series for safety.
One would be a cheek /face contacting stock.
Another would be a index finger touching trigger switch to fire.
And a third toggle to disabled solenoid system.
Kinda home made but it could be done easier than it sounds? I sent you an email.
Happy hunting
James

How about a trigger activator from access to recreation. Here is the link. Scroll way down and you'll find the item.
http://storesense.megawebservers.com/HS128...e=fishing_index (http://storesense.megawebservers.com/HS1281/Page.bok?template=fishing_index)

Otherwise, let me know as I'm digging into this issue right now. My MS has gone to the point where it's pretty tough to pull the trigger, even with my good hand. I couldn't use this activator on my encore but a kind fellow on another forum sent me one he had built that will work well as long as I can find a decently priced sipnpuff switch for it. So far, they are looking at over $200 just for a switch!

Anyway, the activator works well on all of my guns with fixed trigger guards and its reasonable at 40 bucks. I am trying other stuff as well and whatever I find that is a good possibility, I will put in the adaptations section of my site.

Afarcry,
I have never had my hands on a s&p switch but:
I think an automotive distrubutor advance diapram and a toggle switch on a board would work.
Part maybe 20$

Thanks for the idea, James. I got a PM back from the fellow who gave me the solenoid. He described how to make one with a little contact switch between a couple tounge depressors. Gotta try it as it sounds perfect.

I have heard of using wooden cloth pin for switch. Wire a contact on each piece so when cloth pin is depressed by biting down it closes circuit.
Happy days guy

We're in this together, bud...

As you can tell, what someone doesn't think of, someone else usually does!

And it's definitely a plus, when we can come up with something to save a few $$$'s.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

Later,
Rick

Excellent! I hope the lighter trigger pull does the trick for you. Either way, questions like yours are great because so many ideas come from the replies. Thanks for asking!

I have the triggers on most of my guns lightened but it can be hard to find a gunsmith thats willing to do it. It's a liability thing for them.
