What do you guys use in the surf?

Was just wondering what everyone else uses in the surf. Personally I picked up a Diawa Sol 2000 and am fishing it on a crucial drop shotting rod. Fished it with 5 lb maxima floro and had great results. As far as tackle goes berkley gulp has been my main bait since I find it easier then lookin for crabs. And the always important billabong boardshorts. What about the rest of you

I usually go with waders, with a 7' medium spinning rig, and a carolina rig. If I ever fish in the surf, sand crabs are no problem to find, if not then I use squid.

Loomis 7-1/2 foot spinner with 4lb. for perch and corbs

Board shorts warm jacket and hat

Gulp or three inch grubs for the perch. Mussel for the corbs

i like to throw the Kroc... but the surf perch love the C rigged crack (gulp sand worm in camo). i use a light rod with 6 lb mono... what are y'all usin??

I'll use either my 7' shimano Clarus with 6lb or a 9' Fenwick with 6lb also. A set of stearns waders with booties. Use alot of different gulp baits naything from Jefk shad, grubs and sandworms they all work.
