I got a last minute spot for deer and pigs not expecting too much saw problly 40 pigs and 6 does. Debateing going back in tonight just for the pigs allthough I know it is deer season and I hate to spook them out. but let me tell you it's not even going to be a hunt first time out more of a chance to train theese new hounds.
I'll try and take some pictures.

Couldn't help myself had to go whack a pig deer season or not. Up at 4:45 very tired dogs and wife loaded and on the road by 5:30 pulled up to the gate to see the most masive and insanely ridiculous mass gathering of pigs ever. After all hell broke loose scattering we came home with a decent sow. Batt. on the camera took a dump will post camera phone shots asap

Good job. Did you put the dogs on them?

put them on blood trail into brush worked good but hit property border before found hog. Then let them find the dead sow. After a bit more training I'm going to take them for a live run but the pups are still young(6mo) but showed good sign on track and on the dead hog. Still trying to figure out how to get the pics from my phone to here. Wife the IT Guru has been to busy to help.

So that there is my future strike pups ( black Catahuolas ) My catch dog Corona (pit) and the blood trailing fool Remi ( GSD ). Till one of them get hooked or falls down a canyon they are a good little group that works together prettie well.

Fawn colored UKC reg. pit. The GSD is my wifes and is all about blood work and cats. the two pups are reg catahuolas Dizzy(female) is showing good potential for hogs Bruiser(boy) is very indifferent to pigs so far I allmost think he got run over to young at his old house but would make one hell of a bobcat dog if I let him. Still looking to try some other strike dogs but gotta get the kids to Disneyland before I bring home any pups or I'll be sleeping in the kennels too. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-hitting-self.gif

BGH31,

It's always nice when a new spot turns out to be full of hogs, isn't it.

If that dog continues to develop his passion and skills for bobcat and you decide to part with him, please give me a holler.

Oh it's more than a passion I would call it an obsession. Not sure he's gonna make it as a hog dog keeps treeing my house cats :-) If hogs start climbing trees I'm gonna stop hunting hogs.

In that case, send him my way!

No, the hogs haven't started climbing yet. At least, my dogs aren't good enough to make them climb.
