Quiet ATV exhaust

I bought a Prairie 650 a few months back a I just had to modify it. ###Without thinking too much about about the upcoming hunting season I threw on procircuit exhaust. ###Well, needless to say it is LOUD. ###Do you guys think that quiet exhaust really allows you to see a lot more game? ###I'm considering getting "stealth exhaust" or just replacing the medified exhaust with the stock exhaust. ###I use it mostly to get back into a good spot then hike but I also cruise the roads sometimes looking for game. ###Any opinions on how much of an issue this is?

i have a 2000 yamaha big bear 400 4x4 and use it to scout. the area i ride in getts a fair amount of weekend warriors that mostly ride the two wheelers. the twowheelers are loud, alot louder then my atv with a stock pipe. i have seen lots of deer while riding my atv but i think it is because i is fairly quiet with the stock pipe. i basically do the same thing as you cruise the back roads looking a bit or have a specific spot in mind and ride to and park the atv and spend a few hours looking around. the later has always been alot more productive for me. when i am riding and looking i have a GPS mounted on the atv and if i see something that catches my eye i create a marker in the GPS for the spot and when i get back home i look on my topo program or when i have time i go back to the spot on the atv and look around. the method works pretty good.

While I don't own an ATV I do have a farm with lots of wooded area in the surrounding 20 mile radius. ###There is a lot of ATV use in my area. ###I have seen several hunters (my neighbor is one) who have added an automobile muffler to their existing exhaust system. ###They have devised a mounting arrangement that puts the new muffler across the rear of their luggage rack in the back. ###They run metal flex pipe from the existing exhaust to the new muffler. ###Some are <font size="4">VERY</font> quiet. ###They seem to believe that any time the game is disturbed in any way, it's not good. ###I tend to agree. ###These guys can detach their extra mufflers quickly anytime they want.
