My cbr is 4 months old and I am having trouble getting my dog to get my to chase and retrieve balls. any tips?

He or she could be losing teeth, which would make retrieving not so fun right now.

My most recent lab went through the same thing. ###Losing some teeth might have something to do with it, or it could just be an attitude thing. ###

Just keep playing at it, but it's way too early to start force training (in my opinion). ###Make it a game, and if there's no interest don't push it. ###The pup will most likely come around anyway, but if you make it fun it'll probably happen sooner. ###Toss the ball a couple of feet, or roll it across the floor. ###If the dog doesn't go for it, you chase it. ###Let the dog chase you. ###I even found it helpful to tease the dog with the dummy...playing keep away and stuff. ###

Remember that it's only a pup. ###It's OK to be silly and have fun. ###The serious work will come in time.
