dehydrator cleaning ideas

family of 5 loves and fights over jerky but no one wants to clean up the dehydrator any ideas on something to put on trays,for easier cleaning. we use liquid smoke,soy sauce,worchester,and most anything else we have on hand. Would like to find cheaspest mix possible also.

If you use the metal racks, spray some butter Pam on them first. If you use the plastic ones like I have, I throw the racks in the swimming pool in the back yard for a few days and then right into the dishwasher and they come out spotless. My pool is well maintained and the chemicals in it clean everything off the racks. If you do not have a pool, get a big bucket and mix some bleach with water and let them soak in there for a day or two. then run them through the dishwasher to get all the bleach off of them.
