By the looks of it, it will spin on the fall right? How about on the retrieve? The thing with lings is they will eat anything. But they do get picky sometimes so you have to send everything at them; I mean everything in the box. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-devil.gif
I assume that you will be vertical jigging while drifting? When doing that I usually send them a diamond/bar jig with a teaser. I catch a lot on that rig. And they are the most fun to catch this way because they just absolutely slam it and peel drag. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banana-man-yeah.gif That really gets me going.
But the way that I catch the biggest ones is trolling actually, with halibut gear.
Here is a pic of one that I caught this year while halibut fishing.
He was 14lbs I believe with an empty stomach.

Good luck and keep me updated on how you do with your jig.
