I bought a API shooting star last year and have doubts about the safety of this product. ###Although it is very comfortable once your in the tree, while climbing I have amost fallen because of the sling seat used for climbing. ###I seems that especially when I have my cold weather gear on the sling seat comes unstrapped from the stand while climbing. ###I have almost fallen a couple of times because I was relying on the seat to support my wieght. ( that is why it is there right?) ###I have learned to only use this stand as an arm climber and hve removed the climbing seat. ###Again I am very disapointed because this is a very comfortable stand. ###I also dont like the rubber coated chain because I cannot take nearly as big of steps than all metal climbers. ###Also there is no safe way to adjust chain length while climbing.
