GPS software updates

There's been a number of updates to the software Garmin units use and you can download the new software from Garmin's site and load it to your GPS unit. ###Make sure you are loading the correct software for your unit. ###I know there's been a little trouble with people loading the wrong software for their model Etrex GPS. ###

To see what the latests software for your Garmin unit is go to http://www.garmin.com/outdoor/products.html

Select your unit then select 'Updates and Downloads' on the left side of the screen.

Hi Toddp,

I just updated the software on my Etrex Legend and really noticed a difference in the time it would lock on to satellites while under some cover. ###It is much quicker now. ###The software that I had on my GPS was really out of date. ###It must have been on the Sportmart shelves for a while before I purchased it. ###Thanks for the post.
