He got pretty chewed up.

It's really weird that I've read so much about bear attacks this year. I don't know if I'm just more aware of these stories, or if there are more attacks.

Kind of scary when you think about it.

There are plenty of bears up here in alaska. latest news are the wolves that have been picking off pets near Chena Hot Springs, up by Fairbanks. There aren't any articles on the "almost" bear attacks with bears being killed with Defense of Life and Property up here. Keep your eyes and ears open and preferably go with a buddy. Having a gun for protection in very rural areas helps too. To tell you the truth, I haven't heard of that pepper spray stuff being used.

There are conflicting reports about the pepper spray stuff. The anti bear hunting people swear that it works. The pro hunting people say hunting bears to keep the population down would work better.
