Skyhawk,

1) Yes lower leg remains. I'm not sure this step is even required anymore. You might ask Brian. I believe it had something to do w/ the rf portion.

2) Not sure but I would think it could be. You should have got a ultra bright led w/ the opto/x10 to use though.

3) no problem removing/relocating the on board push buttons. You can replace them with n/o mom pushbuttons...
