Wow, it is stories like this one that may make a lot of hunters who find themselves in the eyes of a mountain lion just want to shoot it to protect themselves and then bury it. At least it doesn't happen often as this is the second cougar in the past 4 years, not 4 months. It's still sad but a human has a right to protect themselves.
When a hunter gets in a bind they should be confident that they can protect themselves, that is is not an ordinary thing and report any incidences that might occur without fear of trouble.
