Let see some moose harverst as people start returning from hunts.

I'll start off. My good friend and I applied to Wyoming. He drew I didn't so I went a long to help out. Here's his moose he took on the 7th day of hunting. He spotted it in the morning and didn't quite get the stalk done before it took off over the ridge. We caught up with the bull later in the day. Found him bedded down in a good spot and my friend Jason got within 15 yards of him before he got out of his bed for the last time. The bull made it about 80 to 100 yards. Never quite new what happened.

Palc, Good luck on the moose hunt. What area did you draw. I hunted area 18 just north of Pinedale about 7 years ago. I've had several other friends get moose in the same area since then.

Post a picture once you get one. Five years of applying isn't too bad. My dad drew a tag last year after applying most of his life as a resident. Nonresidents have a better chance of drawing due to the cost of a nonresident tag and the fact that most nonresidents hunt points instead of moose.

Patrick, Unit 4 is what i drew. It is right in the Pinedale area. You are right i applied for points and hunted elsewhere until i drew the tag i wanted.

Nice pics everyone, congrats on the moose harvests.

Black Bear: Nice looking dinner on opening day!!! Gotta be careful of those pets though, I hear they make a poor replacement for a lap dog http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-biggrin-aqua.gif

Great pics!!

Marmot, didn't you post some pics last year too? Sound like you've got this moose hunting figured out.

Black Bear, where did you hunt take place? Can't beat those campfire meals.

I got a forky last week (Spike/Fork Season) here in BC. Only got one pic of it and that is still in the camera. It was a real tough hunt. Took me ten years of buying my tag before I actually saw a legal bull when I've had a rifle with me. LOL! Always see lots of big bulls but usually don't see the little turkeys. Those little guys sure do taste great.
My brother had a big bull LEH tag and he got his bull a day after me. So it's been a good season thus far.

Black Bear,
Did you get my email? I wasn't sure if it got to you through JHO. I can send it to your personal email if you didn't. BTW Congrats on the Moose. What Region did you take yours in?

Well at 1745 Wed 15Oct03 my son and I bagged a 960# field dressed, 19 point 45" Spread bull in northern Maine. The best thing about the whole hunt was that my son and I did it all by ourselves. Memories for a lifetime.

I would like to see those pics. I saw a nontypical moose once while deer hunting, it was a real knarly looking rack. I couldn't even guess on the number of points that thing had.

I don't know if they have any in the field pictures .This one came from an e-mail to my boss just to show him a decent moose and it turned out to be my friends moose. Pictures havn't even been seen by the 2 guys who were the hunters.
