TOCCOA, Georgia - Ask any wildlife biologist what it takes to keep wildlife healthy, happy and close to home, and they'll tell you it's all about having good habitat.

Learn how to improve and manage your property by attending the National Wild Turkey Federation's Wildlife Habitat Management Workshop Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Owens Farm in Toccoa, Georgia.

During the workshop, which is co-hosted by the Georgia Forestry Commission, participants will learn about road construction, road restoration and maintenance, productive water quality practices, farm pond construction and management, how to manage wildlife openings to attract wildlife, how to improve timber production, wildlife law enforcement and more.

The cost of the workshop is $10, and lunch will be provided. The program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participation is limited to the first 75 people registered. The registration deadline is Monday, June 16.
