New Arizona Wildlife Views Episode on PBS station KAET-TV

PHOENIX - The Emmy-award-winning Arizona Wildlife Views TV show will run a new episode on Sunday, February 24, 2008. The program will be in the 4:30 p.m. slot on KAET Channel 8, which is the PBS station in Phoenix, and will be one of the 13 episode season.

Arizona Wildlife Views is a show produced by the Arizona Game and Fish Department to help teach Arizonans about the outdoors around them as well as to inform about practices and techniques used to conserve outdoor Arizona for years to come. This show will include the following segments:

* Sonoran Pronghorn – From a low of 20 animals, the Arizona Game & Fish Department has made great strides to bring this graceful animal back from the brink. A historic step was taken this year when the first two animals were released from their captivity pens to run free across the desert.

* Urban Fish Stocking – Arizona’s urban lakes are a great place to fish, and the Arizona Game and Fish Department is making sure it stays that way by stocking them with ample amounts of catfish and trout.

* Bird on a Wire – Building your nest on a high perch is a great idea, unless it’s on a high voltage utility pole. We go out with Arizona Public Service workers as they move a red tailed hawk’s nest, complete with chicks, to a safer location.
