NEF doesn't have a website worth a damn. I was just checking yesterday. H&R 1871 was bought by Marlin and there is no info as of yet on their Handi version on the Marlin site. Their web site just had their address and logo no links. Try searching on Google they had all the sites I am speaking about. I was hoping for one that showed the different variants and caliber combinations but no such luck must be their way of keeping the over head down to sell them so cheap.

http://buffaloclassic.tripod.com ###
This website has the catalogs, pictures, barrel order forms, and specifications on N.EF. and H&R rifles and shotguns. The links are at the top of the page. ###This pictures are a little slow loading, but they have pictures of all or most of the models. ###

I just bought a NEF combo rifle in 30-06/12ga at wallymart for $228 but have not shot it yet , The stock is american hard wood (pallet material) The fit of stock to reciever is not the prettiest thing I ever saw nor is the overall look . But if it shoots as good I have heard its a darn good value . I have seen the shot guns for years . If you want to see a good picture you can also do a search for guns wholesale Thats how i made sure I knew what I was looking at , At wall mart you can ask to see their gun catalog and pick out just the one you want also , Theres pictures in their catolog,

You can also go on http://www.gunfinder.net. It will give you some specs, prices, and you can order it to be sent to your local FFL if you'd like too!

The list I posted is just of the rifle barrel but not all of the receivers can be fitted with any barrel. You must have got a new one from after the Marlin taken over. If you are going to send it back for an extra barrel ask of the free trigger job also. If you have one done or do one your self and send the receiver back for the extra barrel them NEF will put it back to factory trigger pull. Iíll be you at the Wister hunt with my 223 NEF if you can make it. Here is another r site with info on NEF rifle
